Everyone who has been involved in a wedding, whether you are involved in the planning or just the wedding, knows how much there is in any of these events. And how easy it is to throw the plans off track. The groom of a Michigan wedding that happened this August thought his wedding was doomed. What could be worse than a blackout on the day of a wedding? According to The Detroit Free Press, that is exactly what happened to Vetrivel Chandrasekaran on his wedding day. Fortunately for Chandrasekaran, a wedding guest had remembered that his 2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost hybrid pickup truck could be used as a generator and possibly save the evening.
And it worked!

2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid Generator saves the day (and night)
The outdoor party in the backyard went from an inevitably canceled party to a booming success. The 2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost Generator could not only operate the outdoor lighting for the party, but also provided all the power for the music.
While the Basic Pickup 2021 F-150 is equipped with a 2.3 kWh Pro Power Onboard Inverter Generator, the PowerBoost Hybrid delivers an impressive 7.2 kWh of power thanks to its batteries. Ford engineers once told us that it was powerful enough to power three average American households. Some Ford engineers also used his skills in unconventional ways, like hauling an entire electric stove to a campsite for a slow-cooked roast.
With the advantage of a silencer, the Pro Power unit of the 2021 Ford F-150 is already a quiet generator. The battery operation naturally makes the generation of electricity completely silent. If the battery runs out while charging, the 2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost will start its engine to charge the battery at an idle speed that would still be quieter than any gasoline generator. The party is supposed to last until 2-3:00 a.m. without power interruption.

Not the first time the ProPower Onboard Generator Tag has been saved
In Texas, Ford Motor Company last winter asked dealers to borrow their F-150 trucks in 2021 to help people lost power during a power outage during a century-old snow storm that devastated the Lone Star State.
Looking ahead, the upcoming Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup should be able to charge your entire house on a full battery for up to three days. It can also be ordered with a bi-directional charger that can be plugged into your home and drawn power from it to recharge your truck once power is restored.
