Married couple from Melbourne whose wedding was canceled AGAIN thanks to Victoria’s Covid Lockdown Resort to sell their flowers from the trunk of their car for $ 10 a bunch

- After the seven-day lockdown in Victoria, her big day was canceled – for the second time
- They were forced to postpone their wedding last May due to the Covid lockdown
A couple whose wedding was postponed this weekend due to the seven-day lockdown in Victoria have resorted to selling flowers from their big day out of the trunk.
Maree Piacente was supposed to walk down the aisle on Saturday and marry Kevin Magrin – but had – again – to cancel as the state is desperately trying to contain its latest Covid outbreak.
The couple, who live in Pascoe Vale in northern Melbourne, couldn’t believe their misfortune, with their original wedding date in May last year also a non-event due to the pandemic.
They couldn’t cancel their flowers – an assortment of peonies, roses, carnations and snapdragons – before this weekend and were spotted dumping for $ 10 a bunch on Thursday evening – before the lockdown began at 11:59 p.m.

“We didn’t want all of these flowers to be wasted,” Ms. Piacente told ABC.
“I thought I was going to feel worse, but honestly, I was delighted to see how many people were happy to buy flowers for their wives or girlfriends or partners.”
Mr Magrin, 29, said passers-by understand their unique situation and the couple are again forced to stop their wedding celebrations.
The couple admitted that Covid needs to be “nipped in the bud” and are hoping for a third luck on their new date, which will be before the end of 2021.
After their engagement in June 2018, they are now planning to spend their “wedding night” on the couch at home with a bottle of champagne.
From 11:59 p.m. on Thursday evening, Victorians are only allowed to leave their homes to buy groceries and essentials, to provide or receive care, to play sports, to work or to study or to get vaccinated.
The frustrated couple said a lot of people are compassionate – they hope to get married in Melbourne later this year

People must adhere to a 5 km travel limit for sports and shopping, and wear masks both indoors and outdoors. All non-essential shops are closed, while cafes and restaurants may offer take-away.
The lockdown is the state’s fourth and is slated to end on June 3 at 11:59 p.m.
It is expected to cost Victorian businesses up to $ 1 billion, with the state government soon to announce a support package.
A record 47,462 Victorian residents were tested in the 24 hours leading up to Friday morning while 17,223 received the Covid-19 vaccine dose.
There are a total of 39 active cases in Victoria, including two new hotel quarantine cases.
