Weddings have been put on hold for most of a year in Scotland amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Severe restrictions on indoor and outdoor gatherings have impacted those looking to tie the knot in recent months.
But there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel as the Scottish government is trying to have “at least” the lowest form of restrictions from the end of June.
The latest information on the level of coronavirus protection in Scotland suggests that up to 200 people can attend a wedding or civil partnership ceremony under level zero rules.

But weddings are not entirely out of hand under current restrictions.
Scotland currently has the highest level four restrictions, limiting weddings and registered partnership ceremonies to a maximum of just 20.
Receptions after the wedding are currently not possible according to the current rules.
The country is then expected to enter level three restrictions starting April 26, which would allow up to 50 people to attend a wedding. Receptions would be on the agenda again, with the same restrictions on attendance and alcohol allowed.

It is hoped that early June Scotland will move to the level one restrictions that would allow 100 guests at weddings and receptions.
The number will then double if the alert level is shifted to zero, which is expected to happen by the end of June.
The dates for level one and zero are yet to be given the green light and the above dates are only estimates by the Scottish Government.
Nicola Sturgeon previously advised Scots that decisions will be made based on the data provided on the state of the pandemic.

At a rather unexpected press conference on the coronavirus yesterday, the First Minister said the data for the past two weeks was “encouraging”.
Starting Friday, a number of restrictions will be relaxed – with the rules on outdoor gatherings and travel restrictions being relaxed.
However, Sturgeon continued to urge Scots to be cautious about the rules as they feared more transmittable strains of the virus were circulating across Europe.
The FM said, “We still have to be careful. We can see why we still have to be careful when we quickly look around many other countries in Europe and around the world.
“We have to be careful not to do too much at once. We don’t want the virus to regain ground anytime soon, especially since we know that this new variant is more contagious and then knocks us all back. “
