It is believed that in an unusual accident, the teacher got up to pick something up for the bus when she fell against the door and onto the street before being hit by a passing vehicle.

The Irish Times states that the tragedy occurred while Ms. Kinsella was home on vacation from Bahrain.

As a teacher from Bennekerry, Co Carlow, she had gone to a friend’s wedding in Donegal, Ireland.

But she fell off a bus at around 3:45 p.m. in Ardnawark, Barnesmore Gap, outside Donegal Town last Friday.

The Independent said Ms. Kinsella was traveling with other guests on the private bus believed to be going to a post-wedding party.

Despite being flown to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, the popular teacher died.

Evoke reported that her family, friends, and fellow travelers were utterly appalled and devastated after her tragic death.

Ms. Kinsella was a noted GAA player for the Gaelic Athletic Association.

Palatine GAA said in a poignant tribute on Facebook on August 14th: “After a tragic accident yesterday in Donegal, the darkest clouds with the immeasurable loss of Amanda Kinsella have struck our club and our community.

“Amanda was a beautiful person with the most radiant personality, and she lit up every room she walked into.

“For us, she was an outstanding youth player up to the age of 12 and her skill, commitment and determination on the field were a feast for the eyes.

“Amanda moved to Bennekerry / Tinryland Ladies because we didn’t have a ladies team at the time and she was a superstar to her too. Our loss was her gain.

“She was at home on vacation from teaching in Bahrain when this cruel accident happened and we are just heartbroken.”

“She lit up every room.”

He also said that on their travels they were sad that she would not be around, but they would “never stop Amanda from living her dream” even though “saying goodbye to her at the airport never got easier”.

Mr. Kinsella added, “Last Friday was such a tragedy, especially on such a joyful occasion, but she did what she loved and had fun with friends.

“You will live on in our hearts every day. We love you Amanda, rest in peace.”

‘FANTASTIC PERSON’
