A Church of Scotland pastor married his own mother.
But don’t worry – he just performed the ceremony!
Rev. Jonathan Fleming said it was an “honor” to officiate at the ceremony between his mother Margaret and Brian Carberry.
And the wedding was a real family affair with the clergyman’s daughters Rachel, 12 and Hollie, 8 serving as flower girls, while younger brother Mark, 32, met her mother during the ceremony at Boclair House in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire. led to the altar.

It is very unusual for clergy to perform a parent’s wedding ceremony and they are more likely to marry their own sons and daughters or additional family members.
Margaret, who is 64 years old with her new husband, said it was a very memorable day.
“It got even more special when my whole family was together with my granddaughters as flower girls, my younger son Mark leading me to the altar and my older son Jonathan leading our wedding,” she added.
“There aren’t many who can say that about themselves.”
The wedding took place on July 13th.
