With the pre-Diwali fireworks ban gaining momentum, Kangana Ranaut has voiced her disagreement on it. The actor shared a video from Sadhguru saying that activists should instead stop using cars for a few days to protect the environment.
The video, shared on Kangana’s Instagram Stories, shows Sadhguru sharing his childhood memories of Diwali. He is seen looking forward to setting off fireworks months before Diwali and saving some for later.
Kangana Ranaut posted a message on Instagram Stories.
Commenting on this, Kangana wrote on her Instagram Stories, “He’s the man who set the world record for green cover by planting millions of trees.” She added, “Perfect answer to all Diwali environmental activists who walk to your office and not use a car for three days. “
Meanwhile, Veere Di Wedding producer Rhea Kapoor shared her disappointment with the practice of popping fireworks on Diwali. She wrote in her Instagram Stories: “Bursting Crackers is not only out of date, but grossly ignorant, reckless and irresponsible. Stop doing it, it’s 19 – never. “
Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar on Tuesday appealed to citizens to control noise and air pollution while they burst fireworks during Diwali. “Crackers are an integral part of Diwali celebrations, and they should be. But while the crackers are bursting, people need to keep an eye on the noise and pollution,” she said.
