Cardi B offered to host actor Kat Penn’s wedding on Wednesday after a social media exchange that took place after both celebrities were on the same flight to Los Angeles.
The 44-year-old Harold & Kumar actor – who recently revealed he is gay and engaged to 11-year-old partner Josh – went on Twitter to share an anecdote about the flight.
“Cardi B was on my flight to LA,” he wrote. “I fell asleep and had a dream that she officiated our wedding on the plane and the three of us walked out of LAX holding hands.”

Cardi B, 29, responded enthusiastically and offered to make his dream come true. She tweeted, “First of all, why didn’t you say hello! Second, I am licensed to do that …… .. let me know. ‘
The I Like It artist revealed last month that she had become an ordained marriage officer presiding over a wedding for a same-sex couple named Brandi and Shannon.
She documented the wedding that actress Raven Symone attended on her show Cardi Tries. She tweeted, “By the way, I’m licensed to marry people … sooo yeah … I do everything and it was such a fulfilling thing and Raven was so much fun, I was so excited.”
Penn has come out gay in his new memoir, You Can’t Be Serious, which detailed how he met Josh, and noted that his partner likes to stay out of the spotlight.

In the literary endeavor, he tells the story of his longstanding relationship, starting with a first date that included an 18-pack of beer.
“I thought, ‘Obviously this won’t work,” he writes in the book. “I’ve got a day off from the White House and this guy unironically watches cars go around and turn left? Next, you know, there are a few Months ago and we watch NASCAR every Sunday. ‘
Although he does reveal personal details throughout the book, he notes that his partner and family members are private and he protects their identities.
He told People, “I am very excited to share our relationship with the readers. But Josh, my partner, my parents, and my brother – four people I’m closest to in the family – are pretty calm. They don’t love attention and shy away from the limelight. ‘
In the upcoming book, Penn said he felt “very lucky” that his family and friends supported his relationship.
“At first I shared things with my parents and close friends,” said Penn. “I felt very much supported by everyone. It is a wonderful thing. I know that everyone has different experiences with it, so I’m definitely very happy. “
Penn said he “discovered” [his] have their own sexuality relatively late in life compared to many other people, ‘adding that there is no timeline for these things.
“People find out their shit at different times in their lives so I’m glad I did,” he said.
He said, “The whole point of writing this book was to make the reader feel like we were going to have a beer together.
“I thought if we were to feel like we were having a beer together, then I want to include you in my stories and I want you to experience them with the same joy that I have experienced.”

A native of Montclair, New Jersey, has had a presence in Hollywood for more than 20 years, having appeared in films such as Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle and its sequel, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay; as well as Van Wilder and Superman Returns.
He has also appeared on a number of television shows including Clarice, Designated Survivor, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, and House.
Penn worked in the White House from 2009 to 2011 under former President Barack Obama as the deputy director of the Office of Public Engagement, which aims to speak to younger voters about important issues.
“What I love about service, and what I’m passionate about, is this concept where we choose civil servants, but things don’t get done until we put our boots on the ground and become part of that solution,” he told ABC News in 2011.
Said it was an “awesome” chapter in his life, the actor added, “You take a moment and realize where you are – it’s humiliating.”
On Sunday he appeared on Instagram to advertise his upcoming project with his 260,000 followers.
