Cardi B agrees to officiate Kal Penn’s wedding in a heartwarming Twitter exchange

Cardi B has offered to host actor Kal Penn’s upcoming wedding to his fiancé Josh days after Penn publicly announced that he was engaged to his longtime partner.

Up hitmaker Cardi B, 29, offered her offer to lead the proceedings at Penn’s wedding after the 44-year-old house star told Twitter followers about a dream he had about her.

On Wednesday the actor wrote: “Cardi B was on my flight to LA. I fell asleep and had a dream that she was hosting our wedding on the plane and the three of us walked out of LAX holding hands.”

Cardi quickly became aware of the post who replied, “First, why didn’t you say hello!

“You’re the best,” Penn wrote back. “I wanted to say hello, but I didn’t want to be disrespectful (your do not disturb light was on). But holy shit let’s do it!

“I’m downstairs, I’ll get my suit,” replied Cardi, real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, and ended their heartwarming Twitter exchange – for now.

Penn released his new book You Can’t Be Serious earlier this week, detailing how he met his 11-year-old partner while serving in the administration of former President Barack Obama.

Penn, who worked in the White House’s public engagement bureau for more than two years, told People about his decision to speak publicly about his relationship.

“I’ve always been very public with everyone I’ve interacted with personally,” Penn said. “Whether it’s someone I meet in a bar, Josh and I out and about, or we’re talking to friends. I am very excited to share our relationship with the readers.

“But Josh, my partner, my parents and my brother, four people I’m closest to in the family, are pretty calm. They don’t love attention and they shy away from the limelight.”

Regarding his sexuality, he added, “I discovered my own sexuality relatively late in life compared to many other people. There’s no timeline for this stuff. I was doing it when I was doing it. “

The Designated Survivor star wrote about his first date with Josh in his book, telling how his future husband arrived at his Washington, DC apartment carrying an 18-pack of beer and wanted to watch NASCAR on his television.

“I thought, ‘Obviously this is not going to work,” recalled Penn. “I have a day off from the White House and this guy unironically watches cars go around and turn left?

“Next, you know, it’s been a few months and we watch NASCAR every Sunday. I wanted the reader to enjoy the love and humor of all of these stories. “

However, with the two looking forward to their future as a married couple, it seems that Penn is in the winners position on conflicting visions of their wedding thanks to his exchanges with Cardi.

He told People in his most recent interview, “Of course I’m engaged to a man and our families will be at the wedding. The big difference of opinion now is whether it’s a big wedding or a small wedding.

“I want the big Indian wedding. Josh, hates attention, [has said]”Or we could just do a quick 20-minute thing with our families and that’s it.” So we have to meet halfway in the middle. “
