A couple who rearranged the wedding 4 times are driving a special bus for the big day bus

A Lincoln couple who had to rearrange their wedding four times received a wedding bus from a local company for their big day

Stagecoach East Midlands showed their support for the North Hykeham couple by providing them with a single deck bus on their final wedding anniversary.

The bus took the happy couple Rosie and Foz to the nearby All Saints Church for the ceremony and the bus also displayed their names on board.

The bus was arranged by Stagecoach East Midlands to give the couple and their guests extra capacity to make their wedding day – which they started planning in 2018 – as normal as possible.

Foz, the groom, said, “We have decided that we don’t need expensive wedding vehicles to bring the bridal shower less than a mile from our home.

“That’s when Rosie suggested that she could just take the routine Saturday # 16 bus, which leaves around the corner from our house and has a bus stop 100 yards from the church.

“We soon got in touch with Stagecoach East Midlands, who heard of our plans and wanted to make sure we make it to church this time. It was a really generous gesture and made the day even more special. “

A cancellation of the venue forced the couple to change their original plans and then the advent of Covid-19 resulted in the date being postponed by twelve months to 2021.

Due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, they then had to be reduced from 200 guests to just 22 close family members.

Rosie added, “We were planning to take regular bus service that day and we were overwhelmed by the attention from the Stagecoach East Midlands team that reached out to us. Our own bridal bus was a special treat.

“The bus was spotless, arrived on time and our names on the front were a really touching detail. Thank you to the team at Stagecoach East Midlands and especially to the lovely driver Mark Giles for giving us a big smile and bringing us us safe and stylish to the church. “

Matthew Cranwell, Managing Director of Stagecoast East Midlands said, “I can’t imagine the stress Rosie and Foz went through when they had to cancel their wedding plans three times, and the Stagecoach East Midlands team was delighted that it was possible to to make the day a little more special.

“We take great pride in connecting people in the East Midlands and being at the heart of a very special community. We all at Stagecoach East Midlands wish Rosie and Foz a very happy future together. “
