Carr Bank Wedding Venue is the new name for the former Mansfield Manor Hotel, the Georgian mansion next to Carr Bank Park. Friends and business partners Connor Doran and Jordan Miles already took over the lease in March 2020 and soon started a program to redesign the building and made sure that much of its historic interior was preserved. The two did much of the work themselves, including creating a new bar area and redesigned ceremony room. Jordan said, “Mansfield just has nothing like this in the local area. It’s a fantastic building with character and the park in front of it is so beautiful. “We did a lot ourselves, took our time and made sure to create something very special.” Original wooden shutters that have remained unused for many years have been carefully removed, repainted and reinstalled. Much of the building is now done in neutral colors so couples who get married there can use accessories that match the colors they want. The number of bedrooms has been reduced from 11 to four and they are only used if they are booked for a wedding. Connor added, “We took an old building and gave it a slightly more modern feel. It’s also a blank canvas for people to add the colors they want for their wedding. We look forward to hosting events and helping people make memories. ”The venue, off Windmill Lane, will host weddings from April 2022 and has already booked a number of ceremonies. It offers space for a total of 70 day guests and up to 200 evening guests. It will host a supplier presentation on November 21, between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., where a number of hand-picked individuals will exhibit, including men’s clothing suppliers, cake bakers, florists, a harpist, event dressers, a wedding photographer, celebrant, DJ, filmmaker, and a wedding car shop .
