Just two days before their wedding, a teacher tragically died.
Emma Louise Longstaff-Bradish, 33, died on October 10, just five weeks after she was diagnosed with cancer.
She and her partner Liam Bradish had their wedding scheduled for October 12 at Aston Hall in Birmingham, Yorkshire Live reports.
Instead, Emma and 32-year-old Liam received a hospital blessing just half an hour before they died.
Liam explained, “We had booked the photographer, the wedding car, cake, flowers.
“But we never made it. We ended up having a blessing because Emma was passed out and couldn’t agree.

The grieving partner also says that her coffin and death certificate must have a hyphenated name as they could not legally marry.

Liam explained, “It was clear to Emma all along that she didn’t want to know how much longer she would stay. She said, ‘Tomorrow is a mystery, today is a bonus’. “
But tragically, her condition deteriorated rapidly.
The couple hadn’t planned on soliciting wedding gifts at Emma’s request, but instead wanted people to donate to charity.
“She always thought of others, even in her last days. She just wanted to give something back, ”Liam said.
Now he’s set up a GoFundMe to support Firth 9 and the palliative care unit at Northern General Hospital in Sheffield, where Emma was cared for for the last few weeks of her life.
Liam praised the hospital staff: “They worked hard for them and the family.”
He also said he was proud of Emma for her work as the assistant principal at Sitwell Junior School in Rotherham.
“Her job was to look after children who weren’t having the best of lives and make sure they looked after them. She’s helped so many children, ”said Liam.
