A bride recently had to be rescued by a police officer after her car broke down in the middle of the highway.
Lydia Evans-Hughs, 29, of Wrexham, Wales, was on her way to her wedding last week when the classic car she and her parents were driving broke down, according to SWNS.
Evans-Hughs told SWNS the classic car “was fine for the first five miles” before “just giving up”.

“I was afraid of climbing over the guardrail and standing on the side of the road,” she said.
But traffic cops soon arrived at the scene.
“They saw it was a wedding car and offered us a ride,” said Evans-Hughs. “That was the first time that day that I had tears of relief.”
Inspector Matt Geddes took the bride and her parents to the wedding and even turned on the flashing lights and siren on his car as they drove to the church.

She added that they weren’t even noticeably late.
“Because everything happened so quickly, and how quickly they came up, I wasn’t late at all – it couldn’t have been better planned,” said Evans-Hughs. “I’m just incredibly happy. All in all, it went really well.”

She added, “The most incredible and sincere thanks to the police. What would we have done without them?”

“The somewhat unusual arrival caused some smiles after a stressful situation. Being stuck on the edge of a busy A55 is not nice in the best of times,” said Geddes. “The bride looked beautiful, the sun was shining and she was just a little late. I wish the couple a wonderful day and a long and happy life together.”
