The bride-to-be who postponed the wedding due to a pandemic that crashed and died before she could walk down the aisle

The 61-year-old bride, who postponed her wedding to her 14-year-old partner due to a pandemic, is killed in a car accident on the M4 before she could walk down the aisle

An expectant bride who postponed her wedding due to the pandemic was killed in a car accident tragedy before she could walk down the aisle.

61-year-old teacher Carole Fowler was due to marry her longtime partner last July, but the couple delayed the ceremony when the country was hit by Covid-19 restrictions.

Her partner Keri was described as devastated by the tragedy after 14 years together.

Tribute has now been paid to the tragic Carole after she died following the car accident on the M4 in Hendy, Carmarthenshire.

Her family said the devout Catholic Carole was a popular teacher who worked at St. Mary’s Catholic Elementary School in Llanelli for 30 years.

Her partner Keri (pictured on the right with Carole) is said to have been devastated by the tragic loss

They said she was perfect for the role because she “loved children and they loved them”.

They added, “As one of her previous colleagues said, I know she made such a difference for every child she taught.

“She was very popular with the staff and very respected and loved by her parents.”

In a statement, her family said, “She was a very busy lady.

“One of her work colleagues said of her:“ She was wise, strong, beautiful, generous, pious and spirited. And I loved her for all of these qualities.

“Most of all, she was an immensely beloved mam, daughter, sister, and devoted mamgu (grandmother) and loved so much by her fiancé.

“After 14 years together, they would have been married on July 20th if Covid had allowed it.

“Her untimely death at 61 is tragic and she is already sorely missed. It leaves a huge gap in so many hearts that cannot be filled. ‘

Dyfed Powys Police are investigating the fatal accident that occurred on January 13 at around 8:55 p.m. near exit 48 of the eastbound route of the M4.

She was driving her Citroen DS3 when she was involved in a collision with a Ford Focus whose 27-year-old driver is hospitalized with serious injuries.

A police spokesman said: “If anyone witnessed the collision or was on the M4 at the relevant time, please contact the Serious Collision Unit.”
