A rare Triumph sports car, the chassis of a 1920s Rolls-Royce and a London taxi that served as a wedding car are among the incredible lots put up for auction following the acquisition of a restoration company in Lincolnshire.
An online auction, ending Tuesday, November 10th at 1pm, will be auctioning off tens of thousands of pounds of vintage parts, spare parts and restoration projects.
It comes after Holdings S & M Limited, trading as Triumph Restoration, closed the doors of its Rand and Horncastle offices and went into administration in May.

CRG Insolvency and Recovery of Grimsby’s administrator Charles Ranby-Gorwood has now hired industrial auctioneer Eddisons CJM to sell the company’s assets.
Auctioneer Paul Cooper said: “The company has not only serviced, repaired and renovated classic Triumphs for the public, but has also bought and restored vehicles for its own account.
“The auction therefore includes a number of restoration projects in various stages, as well as a mountain of classic vehicle parts and spare parts, as well as machines, equipment and even special vehicle transport trailers.
“The star of the show is expected to be a TR5 sports car, which is in an advanced state of restoration. Only 2,947 TR5s were produced between August 1967 and September 1968.
“Fully restored specimens have fetched up to £ 50,000 lately and while that is not expected, it attracts a lot of pre-sale attention.”

Mr Cooper said, “There are a number of other classic Triumph sports cars awaiting restoration, including a TR2, a couple of TR3As, a TR6 and a Spitfire Mk1. None of them are runners. Some are just rolling chassis with or without a motor.
Speaking of rolling chassis, the auction also includes a Rolls-Royce Rolling chassis from the 1920s with engine spares, axles and various other items.

“There really isn’t much of a car out there right now, but still there was a lot of early activity and the days before the auction ended, bids had reached a thousand pounds.
“A ready-to-drive car is a London taxi from 1997, which was converted into a wedding car with the help of white paintwork and a hood.
“The auction consists of 163 lots, 68 of which are both remanufactured and remanufactured parts and spare parts, almost all for Triumph cars.”
“The interest was incredible. We have received inquiries from all over the world, including the continent and the United States.”
