SWABI: Two people were killed and five others injured when two cars going in a wedding procession collided here on Monday night, the police said.
District police officer Mohammad Shoaib Khan and Rescue 1122 officials said the cars collided on Swabi-Topi Road near Maini bus stop.
On receiving information, two ambulances of Rescue 1122 along with a medical team reached the spot and provided first aid to the injured. Later, they shifted them to Bacha Khan Medical Hospital, Shahmansoor, where doctors pronounced two of them dead, including a child.
The deceased were identified as 22-year-old Yasir Umar and four-year-old Adnan Khan. The injured were Abdul Hakeem, 55, Said Khan, 20, and three women, all belonging to Topi city.
Separately, a teenage boy was injured when he was hit by a speeding motorcycle.
Also, a man belonging to Karnal Sher Khan village was injured when unidentified assailants opened fire on him.
