Filipe Albuquerque:
“I’m really looking forward to being able to continue at United Autosports in 2022 and to be back in the WEC and Le Mans. United is the team I’ve been with the longest in my career, which says a lot. It makes sense that we should move on together, we know each other so well and every year it feels more and more like family. Knowing that everyone is great and the way they work is amazing can’t wait to move on until 2022 and get more victories, which is exactly what we’ve done so far. I want to thank Richard and Zak for the trust they have placed in me. The results from my side help, of course, but it’s great to be working with the whole team again. Of course, I want to continue to be part of the team and achieve such great results. “
Zak Brown
“To welcome Filipe back to the team for a sixth year is fantastic. He was an integral part of our team during our record year and we hope that we can continue this great relationship into the 2022 season. “
Richard Dean
“I am very happy to welcome Filipe back to the team for the sixth year. It’s crazy to think he’s been with us for so long, but we’ve had so much success together that it made sense to continue that relationship. I am also pleased to confirm that we will also bring two Oreca LMP2 vehicles to the WEC next year, with Filipe in one and our recently announced driver Josh Pierson in the other. “
