Wedding tip: invite Ford engineers to your wedding. It could really pay off.
Weddings can be stressful. I know this is not exactly a hot thing. So much blood, sweat and tears … oh and money, go into this one big day. Planning and conducting this ceremony that celebrates love can be stressful even when things are going well. But what if things don’t go well?
Rachna Nanda Kumar and Vetrivel Chandrasekaran tied the knot in Farmington Hills on Wednesday August 11th. The ceremony was beautiful and everything went great. That was before a heavy rain shower delayed reception for a few hours. The mood changed dramatically from a party atmosphere to a crowd of baffled wedding guests with lights and sound cut out during a power outage. It looked like they were going to end the night. Then a friend of the groom stepped in and suggested using his hybrid Ford F-150 as a generator, according to the Detroit Free Press.
They connected power cables for tent lights, music and a huge sound system with speakers, amplifiers and microphones. The truck itself had four sockets, but several items were plugged into socket strips and these were plugged into the truck.
Congratulations to the happy couple and glad they had friends who were able to save the day. Let this be a lesson about who to invite to your wedding.
