Harare celebrities Daniella Allen and Nigerian business mogul Igho Ubiribo painted the city of Harare and social media streets green with their lavish lobola celebrations that took place on Saturday.

According to social media fanatics, the event has already been voted the best traditional wedding in 2022 to date because of the “A-listener” guests, the theme, the decorations, the eye-catching cars and the cake.

Green was the main theme of the much-discussed “Lobola Celebrations” which definitely took off all the spotlight on social media.

The United States-based couple flew into the country three days before their lavish Harare celebrations.

From dressing up to setting up the buffet, the event was held in Nigerian style.

The main difference to the celebrations was that the event was honored above all by the Nigerian superstar Davido, who flew in with his friends in his private jet to attend the event. The coordination of the outfits was also great.

As an independent fashion designer, Dani, as Allen is popularly known, was brought into the service of Yollanda Mubaiwa from Exquisite Events to coordinate the event. The meter-long stack cake was baked by Ms. Michaels.

To kick off the event, the bride walked down the aisle, accompanied by the groom’s mother, who celebrated her according to Nigerian culture. They were accompanied by two dancers who danced to the song Nomakanjani by the late Brenda Fassie.

Dani wore a Nigerian robe which, according to a close source, was one of the most expensive fabrics abroad. Depending on the culture, it is usually worn by the chief or the highest position in Nigeria.

Upon entering the venue, she was showered with money by Davido as she danced with her husband. More people followed suit and soon the hall was filled with money.

The groom’s longtime friend, musician Davido, said he was happy to be in Zimbabwe for the first time for a private celebration, not a concert.

“I call the groom Tiny because we grew up together and I’m happy for him that he found Daniella. I wish them success and happiness, peace and a loving marriage, ”said the Skelewu hitmaker.

At the end, the guests received gift packages containing a flashlight with the couple’s names, diaries, notepads and branded umbrellas as souvenirs.

The invited guests on site included Mike Chimombe, Jackie Ngarande, Pokello Nare, Tanya Chikuni, Michelle Chiyangwa, Pamela and Martin Hakunavanhu, Tazvi Mhaka and the South African-based celebrities Luminista and Trish Carmen.

Event coordinator Caroline Mlambo said she was glad everything went according to plan.

“We had a topic and planning instructions that we followed. We made sure that we stick to the plan without loopholes. The guests were given the Lobola scarf to design their own clothes. I am happy that the wishes of the bride and groom have been fulfilled, ”she said.

An after party was held to celebrate the union, and it was by invitation only. Davido made a brief appearance to celebrate the couple.
