In press releases and marketing materials, Supercar and hypercars are presented to sound and appear like ideas from another planet. When you consider the otherworldly engines, extravagant engineering, special color codes, maintenance requirements, and even ownership restrictions, one wonders why manufacturers go out of their way to just make a fast car.
But there are people who are willing to invest a fortune in it. On the other hand, automakers are more likely to be encouraged to keep building them in all uniqueness and in exquisite condition. Nowadays, more companies are working on different types of supercars than we’ve ever seen. From Hennessey to Bugatti and Koenigsegg, they’re all expensive. The great thing about them is that they offer everything they promise. Increased efficiency, safety and performance are specific attributes that keep supercars on a separate level.
Not all supercars are created equal. Although performance is an underlying characteristic, some offer beyond that. This is what some of the coolest production supercars with over 1000 hp look like.
10 Aston Martin Valkyrie: 1,160 hp

Aston Martin has decided that its foray into the hypercar market will get the elegance it deserves. The Aston Martin Valkyrie is due for 2022. He got an engine that pushes the limits to 1160 hp. It is a 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine from Cosworth.

9 Zenvo TS1 GT: 1,104 hp

Zenvo has been in the hypercar game for more than a decade. They have produced more than 10 cars, most of which caught our attention for one reason or another. Our interesting car is the TS GT, which was presented at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

Rimac Automobili loves to annoy us with seemingly crazy ideas. The Rimac Concept One paved the way and the Croatian company never seems to settle down. While the Rimac Concept One developed around 1,224 hp, the Concept S added a little more to 1,384 hp.

Power is transmitted via a two-speed dual clutch transmission that is connected to the two independent rear wheels. A single-speed gearbox works on each front wheel. The Concept S reaches 0-60 mph in just 2.5 seconds.
7th ARCFOX GT: 1,600 hp

The Arcfox GT super sports car made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2019 and caused quite a stir with its specifications. The most egregious version of this car is known as the Arcforx-GT Racing Edition and can summon 1600 ponies.

The company developing this extravagant car is the state-owned BAIC group from China. The fully electric vehicle is based entirely on carbon to keep the weight in check. As with many cars of this type, aerodynamics are part of the speed and performance matrix.
6th Königsegg Jesko Absolute: 1,262 HP

When the Jesko made its debut in 2018, it was clear that it wanted to take its own place. The inclusion of the Jesko Absolut makes everything even spicier. The Absolut is ready to be a low drag version. It throws off the standard fancy rear wing, but gets a smoother body.

The power goes to the rear wheels via a nine-speed gearbox that Koenigsegg calls Light Speed Transmission. Koenigsegg hopes that each version of Jesko will be a lot easier to use. The company has not yet released too many details about the Jesko Absolut. However, the sophistication of all other cars is also very present in this one.
5 Koenigsegg Gamera: 1,677 HP

The biggest limitation with supercars and hypercars is the number of passengers, which is limited to two by design. The arrival of the Koenisgess Gamera changed this to everyone’s great surprise. This seats four, which means a small family can take a hypercar ride for dinner.

Gemera is the youngest member of the Swedish corporate family. It is powered by a hybrid powertrain that has three electric motors and a 2.0-liter three-cylinder in-line engine with 592 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. It is this combination that gives the Gemera a total of 1,677 hp.
4th Königsegg Regera: 1,480 hp

We’re not done with Koeingseggs yet. The Regera is another one that boosts more than 1000 horsepower. This is the car that paved the way for hybrid Koenigseggs. The power comes from here electric motors and that works alongside a 5.0 liter V8 engine. In contrast to the conventional multi-speed transmission, the power is distributed via an innovative system called Direct Drive.

3 Lotus Evija: 1,973 hp

It may seem like everyone really wants to see how much power can be extracted from some engines. This is the only way to explain why a street-legal vehicle like the Lotus Evija is allowed to generate almost 2000 hp.

The Evija uses four electric motors with the ability to drive it up to 300 miles per hour. These motors are powered by a center-mounted lithium-ion battery that can travel a cool 250 miles on a single charge. The company developed this hypercar for extreme route actions that do not affect driving comfort. The Lotus Evija with 1,973 hp will be in the company’s product range like no other.
2 Bugatti Divo: 1,500 hp

We know the Chiron and Divo are extremely outrageous when it comes to performance. They both differ in particular ways, but the Divo’s power, which settles at around 1,500 ponies, is something that pushes boundaries. The Divo is also faster than a Chiron to 60 mph, and gets there in just 2.5 seconds.

1 Hennessey Venom F5: 1,817 hp

Boundaries keep pushing, and entrants new and old are getting smarter every step of the way. The Hennessey Venom F5 has cut out its competition. With more than 1800 hp from the 6.6-liter V8 biturbo V8, the Venom F5 proves to be absurd and uncompromising.
Hennesey says they will only build 24 of these cars. The power goes to the rear wheels via a mechanical rear axle differential with limited slip. This car recognizes five driving modes: Sport, Wet, Track, Drag and F5. The F5 is the epitome of power and can only be unleashed at 140 mph and beyond.
