Almost two years after winning an all-inclusive wedding in a competition, two NHS nurses have finally celebrated their wedding at the Eskmills Venue on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
After winning their dream wedding in May 2020, Sarah Hunter and Greg Turner were scheduled to wed on February 12, 2021, but their plans have been put on hold by the global pandemic.

On Friday the couple, who both work at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, finally tied the knot alongside 121 guests at the award-winning Eskmills Venue in Musselburgh.
The wedding competition, set up as a thank you to NHS staff, included a wedding prize package worth around £12,000 and exclusive use of Eskmills Venue, a converted mill building on the riverside in Musselburgh.

Celebrant Jane Patmore from Your Service in Scotland led the service and helped create a memorable and unique bespoke ceremony.
Sarah, a nurse who takes care of premature babies in the neonatal unit, and Greg, who takes care of very ill patients in the acute care unit, have been together for nine years. After getting engaged in Venice in 2019, the couple have been working on the front lines throughout the pandemic.
Sarah, who is expecting a baby in May, said: “It’s been a long wait, it was totally worth it! We couldn’t have dreamed of a better way to celebrate than in such a beautiful place with our family and friends, plus the amazing food and drinks and all the wonderful things offered by so many lovely local businesses.
