Parking space is for sale for just under the average UK house price.

The space across from Harrods in Knightsbridge is on the market for £ 250,000.

However, it is still too small for certain vehicles – especially high-end vehicles that are often found in the area.

It stretches to a total of 8.2 x 13.8 feet, which is actually smaller than the UK average of 7.8 feet x 15.7 feet.

This means that supercars like a Rolls Royce Phantom valued at £ 364,000 or a Lamborghini Aventador valued at £ 270,000 are too big to fit in the box.

The 34-square-meter space is in a private, fenced-in car park in the luxury West London neighborhood – but in addition to the staggering price, the new owner also has to pay £ 780 a year for the service fee.

Located in the Basil Street car park, the square is accessible at any time of the day and the entrance is guarded around the clock.

But anyone thinking of buying it has to live a quarter of a mile from the parking lot.

Commenting on the listing, Real Estate Agent Knight Frank said, “Basil Street is just minutes from the world-class hotels, restaurants, luxury boutiques, shops, amenities and museums that the area has to offer.

‘Ideally located across from Harrods, the Basil Street car park was built in the early 2000s and benefits from separate entrances and exits from Basil Street, private pedestrian access from Basil Street via an elevator for parking lot owners, 24-hour remote access, and 24 – Hour security. ‘

More: real estate

In connection with this, the average UK house price is around £ 267,587 – according to a recent index. So this place is only £ 17,000 less.

However, Chancellor Johnny Thalassites of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea points out that the listing price is annoying for those looking to buy a property.

He said: “We are in dire need of housing and are a district with some of the most expensive land and real estate in the UK.

“It is very frustrating to see six figure prices in a parking lot and discouraging for those looking to step up the real estate ladder.”

It’s not the first of its kind either.

Another parking lot in the same building – which was a bit narrower but longer than the current offer – also sold for £ 250,000 in 2016.
