Princess Charlotte inherits “Grandma Diana’s” wedding tiara through Baby Lilibet

Princess Charlotte is said to own some incredible jewels in her future.

It is believed that she will inherit a “priceless” heirloom from Princess Diana in place of her little cousin Lilibet.

Six-year-old Charlotte will have “the palace jewels choice” once she’s old enough to leave her cousin with a second choice, Cambridgeshire Live reports.

Her sparkling legacy is because her father, Prince William, is second on the throne and she is his only daughter, a source said.

A royal insider also claims that there are two items in particular that would be best for Princess Charlotte to inherit.

One of these is said to be the Spencer Tiara, the same crown Lady Diana wore on the day of her wedding to Prince Charles on July 29, 1981.

The eye-catching headdress belonged to the Spencer family for nearly a century prior to the royal wedding and was worn at the weddings of their two older sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes.

The tiara was made in part from a wedding gift Lady Sarah Spencer gave in 1919 to Lady Cynthia Hamilton, Diana’s grandmother, for her marriage to Viscount Althorp. Other jewels belonging to the Spencer family were also used.

Diana chose to use the Spencer family heirloom instead of borrowing one from the Queen’s collection as Meghan Markle did in 2018.

According to GoodToKnow, Palace sources say talks are ongoing to secure for Charlotte the play currently held by Diana’s youngest brother Charles, 9th Earl Spencer.

A source claimed: “William is well aware that the earl has daughters of his own, but the two agree that Diana’s iconic piece belongs to her first granddaughter.”

Another royal insider told Australia’s New Idea magazine that after learning about the tiara from her grandmother Diana, Charlotte can’t wait to try it on one day.

They said, “Lottie knows everything about her ‘Granny Diana’ – after all, Diana is one of her middle names. She has also seen pictures of her wearing the tiara. “

Tradition dictates that brides wait until the wedding day before wearing the piece for the first time, so Charlotte may have to wait a while before trying on the tiara.

New research suggests that Charlotte could become the richest member of the royal family when she grows up.

Electric Ride on Cars’ study suggests the princess will far surpass her older and younger brothers in net worth, potentially worth up to £ 3.6 billion, The Express reports.

It is believed that she has the potential to earn more than her brothers due to a so-called “Kate Middleton Effect”.

The phenomenon suggests that royal family fashion choices can have a huge impact on fashion trends – adding to their value.

It has been compared to style icon Diana, whose style choices influenced much of 1990s fashion.

Prince George is believed to amass just under £ 2.2 billion while little Prince Louis could be worth £ 721 million.

Compared to other mini-members of the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan’s son Archie is valued at £ 21.6 million when he grows up.
