Georgina Clarke arrives for her wedding
Instead of a limousine or a vintage car, Georgina Clarke, a truck driver at Dale Brothers UK from Telford, chose a more unusual mode of transport.
She was taken to the Telford & Wrekin registry office in Wellington in a truck on Saturday to be married to the groom Nicholas Derry.

And it was her boss Robin Dale who picked her up from the couple’s home in Donnington, Telford and drove them to the venue.
Georgina, 27, who has been a truck driver for two years, says: “We are both bikers, so I originally wanted to ride a bike, but my dress is too big.

“I wanted to travel differently and not in the traditional way.
“My boss agreed to take me in the truck, and as a young driver I thought it would also be nice to show other women that it’s a good industry and that it doesn’t just have to be men at the wheel.”

The couple met while they were both studying landscape management at Rodbaston College.
Nicholas, also 27 years old and originally from Cannock, works as a landscaper – just like Georgina before she suddenly decided to change her job two years ago and became a truck driver.
Their wedding was originally planned for the summer but had to be canceled twice due to the pandemic.

It was lucky for the couple on Saturday for the third time when around 50 guests gathered to watch them knot.
Georgina, who is originally from Eccleshall, said before the big day: “I’m really nervous, but it’s nice because everything fits.”
The day itself went perfectly, said Georgina and everyone enjoyed their unique arrival.
She said, “The day was amazing.
“It was exactly as I had hoped it would be. Everything was perfect.
“It was just an incredible day and it was nice to arrive with both of my bosses.”
