Dunster-based Amanda-Louise Knight, a member of the Taunton Chamber of Commerce, was nominated in the Celebrant of the Year 2021 category of the Celebrant Industry Awards.
Amanda-Louise says it was difficult to organize “games and broadcasts” during the pandemic.
She said: “I’m very excited to be nominated for Celebrant of the Year 2021, Rising Star and Client Services.
“It was a challenge for my couples to plan their wedding during the pandemic and to work closely with families saying goodbye during funerals so it’s nice to be recognized.
“I love what I do to personalize ceremonies for my clients, be it saying it or saying goodbye, this is not just a formality so it is really humbling to be recognized for it.”
Nominations were received from clients and other professionals in the industry.
Amanda-Louise will find out whether she is a winner at the award ceremony on Monday, May 31st.
