Therefore, it is not uncommon for wedding guests to give money to the newlyweds to help them.
But one US-based bride was slammed for her “sticky” attempt to get people to pay for the occasion.
The anonymous woman revealed in colorful writings that she would be going to Austin, Texas for her hen night for the whole weekend.
She also wrote her PayPal number on her car window in the hopes that strangers would send her money for it.

After being shared on Reddit’s “wedding shaming” page, people branded the bride’s actions as “trashy” and “sticky”.
“If you think it’s cheesy when people ask for donations for their wedding on Facebook, you can’t think it’s cute or funny. It’s exactly the same, ”wrote one person.
“It’s super sticky,” said a second.
While a third concerned user said, “Surely this is an unsafe thing?”
“But maybe I’m just a very private and paranoid person.”
