Police officers reprimanded a group of teenagers who blocked the passage of wedding trains to get money according to Chechen custom, and their parents were brought to justice, Chechen state television and radio company “Grozny” ChGTRK reported.

On October 24th, “Grozny” ChGTRK published a video report on its Instagram page about preventive talks by the police in Grozny with children who are blocking the wedding processions. The video report was accompanied by another video showing children running in front of wedding party cars. Next, the report shows lawmen in a meeting room, and then – a group of lawmen talking to teenagers.

In the report of the ChGTRK “Grozny”, Timur Engenoev, the department of the Ministry of Interior (MIA) in Grozny, said that in the past two weeks 12 minors who blocked the way to the wedding procession had been taken to the police. “Logs of administrative violations were drawn up against their parents,” said Timur Engenoev.

In their comments on the video report, some Instagram users said it was inappropriate to blame children for the tradition of blocking wedding trains. “The parents are fined and the children are registered with the youth police station. But the plan for violations will be met and the state budget will be replenished. This custom has been around for a long time. But now everything is forbidden, ”wrote the user novosibi.live.

Other Instagram users supported the action of the Grozny police. “This is just some kind of mess! They block traffic and people who have nothing in common with the wedding procession are affected, ”remarked user __lyuchiya_.
