Alicia Taylor, the wife of Corey Taylor, shared the wild time when the couple almost stranded in the desert on their wedding day.

Over on Twitter, she revealed how problems with the car threatened to ruin her wedding, which took place in Nevada in October 2019.

“We rented this car to take pictures and it sounded like a good idea until everyone left. All that was left was CT in this car and I in mine (we arrived at the site separately), ”she began.

“The Valley of Fire was now closed, it was getting dark, and we had dinner reservations in just over an hour – perfect time to bring this rental car back and make it to our favorite romantic restaurant and continue our dream day … but The Universe had other plans, ”she continued.

“As I followed CT down the long, lonely street in the little sports car and left Valley of Fire, I noticed it slowed down … until the car made a sound of defeat – a pathetic little put put put – and in the middle of it Road stalled. “

“Before I could throw my head out the window and ask if he was okay, I saw him grab the steering wheel and try to shake it when he yelled, ‘FUCKKKKK !!! YOU STUPID SHIT! AHHHH !!! ‘into the deep dark abyss of the desert. “

Taylor went on to explain that there were “no cars in sight” and “no lights” but that they eventually spotted a chevron sign in the distance.

“We couldn’t leave that 1965 or 68 Cobra or whatever in the middle of the street, so he popped that fool into neutral, and we – him in his beautiful suit and me in the one thing I did for this wedding “Got a designer dress – pushed the car off the road,” she said.

“We must have looked so ridiculous,” she added. “My dress was now completely covered in dirt. I tore it open with my heel trying to dig my feet into the ground as I pushed this damn vehicle. Corey is also full of filth and sweating like he’s attending a Southern Baptist Church in July.

“We’ll meet the chevron at the end of the street, fill up some plastic cans, and head back to the car towards the Valley of Fire,” she continued.

“From my car, I watch the headlights shine on CT to give him light – and I see him try to fill the car with gasoline. I look at the clock. Fuck.

“I call Nobu and tell them we won’t make reservations. They understand and put it back an hour. I look up at CT, who is pouring gas as best he can, except that the nozzle is broken and he’s now soaking the side of the car and his pants … with fuel. “

From there, Corey tried unsuccessfully to start the car in various other ways, according to Taylor.

We’re sitting in my car to take a breather. It’s the first time since this cluster fuck that we’ve stopped and REALLY looked at each other … and we’re laughing hysterically, “she said.

“Tears run down my face from laughing so hard, and in that moment I knew he was a perfect fit for me,” she continued.

“Summary: I waited an hour and a half to two hours for a tow truck. Pushed our reservation again during that time but didn’t make it. We were too exhausted and hungry to care so we ate in a Thai place in the hotel we were staying in.

“The waiter raised his eyebrows at us as we sat in our fancy wedding clothes, covered with gasoline and dirt. Our hair was disheveled. I had a fire on the exhaust pipe on my leg. He probably smelled us before he saw us. “Have you just married?”

“Yes.

“‘Congratulation…?’

“Now we’ve blown up the first REAL BIG photo and it’s in our dining room.

“Moral of the story: Find someone to laugh with, especially when shit hits the fan. This can be a partner, a friend, a co-worker … anyone. Find this person and appreciate them, ”she concluded.
