Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) receives an ultimatum from Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) when she admits she nearly committed murder to avenge the death of her son. Will she leave Kev at the altar when her wedding day approaches?

Will Abi leave Kevin hanging on the altar?
On the eve of Abi and Kevin’s wedding, disgusted Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) confronts her future sister-in-law and reveals that she knows all about the plot to shoot Corey and leave her fiancée. Debs agrees to keep quiet on one condition – Abi leaves Weatherfield so Kev and Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes) will no longer be drawn into their dramas.
Abi agrees and grabs her back, but when Kev catches her, he wants to know why his bride is doing a runner. Ashamed of the rest, Abs claims that the Websters will be better off without her if they admit everything, that they got the gun and nearly committed murder, but then left town. Ready to forgive and forget, Kevin says he’ll be waiting at the wedding venue, but will the self-hating high school graduate leave him hanging on the altar?
Corey plans his escape
Meanwhile, after Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) hands the bloodstained clothing he was trying to hide, police resume Corey’s case, and police set out to arrest the cocky teenager. Knowing that the net is approaching, clever Stefan Brent (Paul Opacic) and his son go under and ask Christian (Corey’s friend Eli’s father, who was bribed as a witness in the trial) to help them escape the country.
Whether or not she becomes Kev’s wife, Abi embarks on one final mission to avenge Seb’s death – she and her accomplice Gary Windass (Mikey North) are also after Christian and suspect that Stefan will ask him for help with that can they reach him and persuade him to shop with the Brents before they can escape?
Curtis collapses
Curtis struggles with his studies as his condition makes it difficult for him to focus long enough to repeat himself, and he doesn’t think he can live long enough to complete his studies anyway. On the day of an important exam, the medical student goes missing and Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) fears the worst.
Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) finds him and persuades the boy to take his exam, but when the street car taxi doesn’t start and Curtis bumps into the car, he collapses and holds his chest – has his heart given up? Fortunately, he is recovering after a brief stay in hospital, but the incident puts things into perspective for Curtis and he makes some important decisions about his future, including dropping out of medical school so he can spend the little time he has with Emma , can spend. And that’s not the only surprise he has up his sleeve …
Maria becomes an eco-warrior
The gentle hairdresser Maria has developed from the girl next door with a disastrous love life to an eco-warrior who fights for a better future. Who knew ?! Her transformation into a Mancunian Greta Thunberg with pony continues this week as she leads a protest against a proposed bypass that could destroy local green space.
Her plight is picked up by the impressed local press, leading Maria to consider running for the local elections. Former Mayor Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) is upset that local politics is her specialty, so she decides to go against her! Maria’s Crusade is part of the large soap crossover event to highlight climate change and environmental issues that coincides with the COP26 conference. Keep an eye out for viral videos of Maria’s demonstration Tiff saw in EastEnders and nod to Emmerdale and Doctors in Corrie throughout the week.

- Chatterbox Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) has been heartbreakingly silent since the shocking, tragic death of mother Natasha rocked the cobblestones. Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) doesn’t know how to comfort his son and confides his worries to partner Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). It’s been barely a year since they lost Oliver, so how much more grief can a broken family endure? And will cute Sam ever smile again?
- Things are hot at Zeedan Nazir (Qasim Akhtar) and we’re not talking about his Madras recipe. Dreaded father-in-law Hashim Elamin (Vincent Ebrahim) is still forcing him to launder money through Speed Daal, and suspicious Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) warns Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) that her brother is up to something. Zee manages to get his sibling off track and suddenly announces that he wants to restart the food truck – where he wants to hide the dirty money secretly instead of in the books of the family business. What could possibly go wrong?
