After the brilliant news that Cumbrian companies achieved great success in the North West Wedding Awards, News & Star readers shared their excitement and praise for those who have made the county proud.
Up in the north of Cumbria, Cumbria Classic Wedding Cars, Julie Winspear Photography of Carlisle and Skipton House, also in Carlisle, won their categories and were named Top Transportation, Photographer and Wedding Venue in the North.
And in the west, Te Amo Bridal won the Best Occasion title at Workington, much to the delight of owner Tracy Watson.
In addition to the honor of taking their crowns home, companies can now post the official North West Wedding Awards winners badge on their websites. They also receive a certificate and trophy to display in their office, shop or mantelpiece.
And our readers couldn’t have enjoyed the worthy winners any more.

A bucket of congratulatory comments was posted and Sharon Lambert, co-owner of Cumbria Classic Wedding Cars, said, “Thank you everyone, it means a lot.”
Commenting on their winnings, each avid business owner said they couldn’t believe this had happened and thanked every customer who chose their service to celebrate their big day.
Explaining how much it means to her when brides visit the store, Katy from Te Amo Bridal said, “We’re a small, family-run business. So, without our brides, we wouldn’t be here, and it’s amazing to have that support there.
“We just want to thank them all so much for voting for us and choosing us when it comes to buying a dress!”
