ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – Firefighters paid tribute to one of them who died after having a heart attack the day he was about to get married.
Steven Brantley worked for the San Francisco Fire Department but was also based in Lincoln. He originally joined the department as a paramedic in 2008 before being promoted to fire fighting in 2011.

In the early morning of May 1, Brantley had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital.
He should be married that day.

Instead, Brantley was pronounced dead a few days later.
On Thursday, Brantley’s body was taken to a crematorium by the Kaiser Roseville Hospital. Firefighters were at every exit along Interstate 80 from Roseville to Sacramento to honor Brantley.
