He happily dances to the gate to welcome his bride. The day he has prayed for has finally come and he cannot wait to open the gates of his home in the village of Nazaretha in Ladysmith to her and her family. And the fact that she’s three hours late doesn’t dampen his enthusiasm.
“One day I said I was going to marry you and I kept my promise,” says actor Menzi Ngubane to his bride and smiles from ear to ear. Today there is no sign of the hardcore TV villains he often plays – he’s just a man in love who fulfills a promise to the woman who captured his heart. Menzi (54) and Sikelelwa Sishuba (39) held their umembeso and traditional wedding just in time for the holidays.
