Garage car fire on the wedding day ruins the wedding night of the newlyweds

A newly married couple had to spend their wedding night with relatives after a garage fire in their apartment block in. had broken out Sydney’s west.

Hayden and Hannah Potter returned home to their Penrith unit last night after tying the knot to find the building surrounded by firefighters.

“Well, we didn’t have enough fairy lights at the wedding, so now we have these trucks,” a cheerful Mr. Potter told 9News.

Still in their wedding dress, Mrs. Potter, her husband and her bridesmaid Jaime Swavley had to stand in the street while the fire department fought the fire.

Today the couple and Ms. Swavley returned home after spending the night at their parents’ house.

“As many complications as in any wedding, but that was just the icing on the cake, wasn’t it? So it’s all good, ”Mr. Potter told 9News.

“At first we thought we’d all have to share the same room, which was a bit crazy. But luckily they could have their own space, ”Ms. Swavley told 9News.
