Friends of Prince Harry believe that during his return to the UK he plans to reconnect with old pals from the life he left behind.

I can reveal that the last time the Duke of Sussex was in the country – for Prince Philip’s funeral in April – arranged a surprise luncheon for boys, which made his friends expect more socializing, now he is returned to unveil the statue to Princess Diana.

While lunch with your old friends may be normal for most people, many of Harry’s closest friends have felt sidelined since his 2018 wedding and drastic move to California.

But his secret meeting with members of his former inner circle has raised hopes that after all he has not been lost in his ultra-awakened new life.

“After the wedding, Harry cut off everyone from the UK,” says my source. “But now he’s finally showing signs that he wants to reconnect with his old life.

“His friends are really excited, they think old Harry is coming out of his shell again.

“It sounds like he’s slowly realizing that he doesn’t have to give up his old life to enjoy a new one in California with Meghan.

“The two worlds he now lives in are not mutually exclusive for his friends, although they can be for his family.”

Because while Harry might be interested in reconnecting with his friends, the rift with his brother seems deeper than ever.

My source says that William was noticed by his absence at lunch in April, which was specially arranged to include some of the male guests and ushers at Harry’s wedding reception.

The Duke of Cambridge was the best man at the Windsor ceremony.

Others in Harry’s circle who played a key role at the ceremony included so-called “assistant best man” Jack Mann, Charlie van Straubenzee, LA pal Arthur Landon and Harry’s “surrogate godfather” Mark Dyer, who owns a chain of pubs in West London.

With the coronavirus restrictions in place in full, they were unable to hold their meeting at Dyers Fulham-Boozer Brook House, which may have been a preferred option.

My source adds, “It’s sad that William wasn’t on Harry’s luncheon plans for boys on the last visit. The only royals who seemed to see a lot of him were Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.

“But then Harry had a strange ‘vicarious’ groomsmen’s agreement at his wedding, so he can’t have considered William as his best friend in private until then.”

Last week, The Mail on Sunday reported that Prince William and Harry had their biggest disagreement yet on the night before the 2018 wedding.

Some sources suggested they might even have suffered a physical breakdown as they emerged from their encounter with their disheveled and misplaced shirts.

Let’s hope this visit goes smoothly … even if what happens on tour stays on tour.

After this Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have pledged not to use the word “royal” in any context.

It’s still @sussexroyal even though they are no longer working members of the royal family.

They haven’t posted to the account since March 30th last year – the day before the Megxit official date – and you’d think they wouldn’t want anything to do with their royal roots, given the abuse they’ve been calling since then have made. Festivals’.

The account still has a staggering 10.2 million followers, however, and it’s one of the first things to show up when you search the internet as if to remind us that you are or were royalty!

When Prince Charles becomes king, not only will he slim down the monarchy. I hear he also wants to cut down on the number of the fuel-guzzling Land Rover Defenders, popular with the Queen and late father Prince Philip, which start at £ 44,000.

Charles wants the royal family to drive a fleet of electric cars – mostly Teslas, which start at around £ 35,000 – when changes pick up speed across the board.

A source close to the future monarch says, “Charles is really interested in Tesla and biofuel cars, and he would prefer if the entire royal fleet didn’t burn gasoline. That’s why he got his biofuel Aston Martin, which Prince William and Kate drove on their wedding day.

“He’d like to expand the number of electric cars – maybe not replace the entire fleet yet – but look at this room.”

I’m afraid this means bad news for the family’s historical associations with Jaguar Land Rover and Audi!
