President Joe Biden’s first car was a 1951 Studebaker. The Studebaker Champion is an automobile manufactured by Studebaker Corporation of South Bend, Indiana. It was produced from early 1939 to 1958. It was a full size car in the first three generations and a midsize car in the fourth and fifth generation models that served the Commander as a junior model.

The car Joe Biden has was part of the third generation. The design included a new rear window, flat front fenders and convenience features such as backlighting for displays and automatic interior lighting. A fun fact is that the 1947 Champion accounted for 65.08% of the automaker’s total sales.

The car came with a 169.9 cu in, 2.8 liter I6 engine. The engine could produce 85 hp, which was not bad at the time. The car also came with an automatic transmission. One of the new design features of the cars was the surrounding rear window “greenhouse”, which was attached to two-door coupés with 5 passengers from 1947 to 1951.

Joe Biden’s father ran car dealerships in Delaware for 34 years. This mainly included Chrysler cars, while he also worked for Ford for a short time. That meant that the president had a lot of famous cars back then. He once said in an interview:

“I remember my prom when I was able to take a Chrysler 300D 7,000 miles off the field.”

The Chrysler Letter series were high performance luxury cars that were built by Chrysler in the United States from 1955 to 1965. They were cars that focused on performance so they can be considered one of the ancestors of the muscle car. They were big cars and very expensive.

The D model was manufactured in 1958 and was the last car in this series to use the FirePower Hemi in the 300. The engine had a displacement of 6.4 l and could produce 380 hp. 35 cars were built with fuel injection and delivered 390 horsepower. A total of 618 hardtops and 191 convertibles were produced.

In addition to being one of the most important in America right now, President Joe Biden is also known as the petrol head. He loves his cars and he has some of the greatest cars in his collection.

First of all, he has a Mercedes-Benz 190SL. It is not known which annual model he has. The model year extends from 1955 to 1963. The car is equipped with a 1.9-liter in-line four-SOHC engine that developed 104 hp. You can really feel the power under the hood of this car.

One car that is close to his heart is his 1967 Chevrolet Corvette. This car was painted Goodwood green and is powered by a 327 cubic inch V8 engine. This demon of a car can produce 350 horsepower! The convertible was a wedding present for Joe Biden from his father in August 1967 and is still in his garage. It’s understandable why this car is a sentimental part of his life.

President Joe Biden is currently driving around “The Beast”. This was the Cadillac sedan that was built for Donald Trump. The windows have five layers of glass and polycarbonate. This ensures that the windows can withstand large bullet shots. There are also five inch thick military armored tires in this car. Finally, the doors were fitted with explosion protection foam to withstand a direct RPG hit.

The next presidential sedan could begin its construction phase around 2023. The bodywork itself may not see many changes in terms of the layout of the car. We anticipate that an electric presidential sedan could allow Cadillac to show the EVS its turn. The new President and the new Vice-President have made it clear that climate change is at stake. We hope that their position on environmental awareness will find expression in car design when it comes to designing a new presidential car.
