Here’s why the Aston Martin Vantage is the best luxury sports car

The name Vantage has been used on Aston Martin vehicles since the 1950s, and the current model, a two-door luxury sports car, was launched for the 2019 model year. A statement of style like a driver’s car, the Vantage offers stunning looks with amazing performance. Enthusiasts may never agree on exactly what makes a supercar. The Vantage isn’t one, however. The brand calls it a sports car.

The Aston Martin Vantage is reactive and fast. However, the car doesn’t have the sharp, reckless edge that characterizes supercars on a racetrack. Instead, the Vantage is a high-performance sports car that is designed for full driving pleasure, but can be used regularly. Individuals who enjoy an open-air sports car experience can add the Vantage to their list of dream machines.

The Aston Martin Vantage Roadster 2021 replaces the fixed roof with a folding fabric top. The same 503 horsepower engine powers it, but loses a few tenths of a second in 0 to 60 mph acceleration and a couple of ticks on the top of the speedometer. That doesn’t matter if the wind is running through your hair with V-8 music in your ears.

Mistakes that lead to success on the road

Few people have invested in an Aston Martin and have regretted it. The last generation Vantage was an amazingly elegant car and drove like a shopping cart. The new Vantage is the performance model in the Aston Martin range and has fixed chassis tuning to prove it. However, the stiffer structure allows for a softer suspension, making it far more comfortable than the model it replaces. This Vantage can be an everyday sports car encouraging owners to drive it more often and showing off its stunning looks to an enthusiastic audience.

The name ‘Vantage’ was first used in 1951 for a high performance engine option for the Aston Martin DB2 and soon established as a standalone model.

A powerful achievement

The Vantage features The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine from AMG develops 503 hp at 6,000 rpm and 505 lb-ft of torque from 2,000 rpm. With a dry weight of 1,530 kilograms, the Vantage offers an impressive power-to-weight ratio.

Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. This beast can accelerate to 60 MPH in 3.6 seconds and uses a sophisticated suite of integrated electronic systems to provide maximum control. These include dynamic stability control and dynamic torque vectoring. The Vantage also has an electronic rear differential that is linked to the vehicle’s electronic stability control system so it can understand vehicle behavior and react appropriately to steer engine power to the appropriate wheel.

Clever partnership with Mercedes

Aston Martin’s partnership with Mercedes-Benz gives the Vantage two key features: The first is the 4.0-liter V8 drivetrain with two turbochargers. It’s a sturdy engine that delivers ready, rough power and sings a Mercedes song that is tuned to an Aston Martin pitch to be even more sonorous.

Aston Martin is also adapting its Mercedes-Benz infotainment system. It doesn’t look the same, although it looks exactly like pre-MBUX systems from Mercedes. The system is controlled by a central rotary knob that requires a learning curve but offers a lot more functionality than Aston Martin would likely develop itself.

The price is what we pay and the value is what we get

With a starting price of $ 156,081 or $ 185,916, the Vantage’s most obvious competitor is its second cousin, the AMG GT, which starts at $ 115,900 and is $ 189,750 for the AMG GT Roadster. Fans say the Aston Martin looks a lot better than the AMG version and we agree.

The McLaren GT weighs maybe 100 to 200 pounds less and drives a lot more like a sports car, but has a slightly bulbous humped rear end and stickers for $ 213,195. For $ 202,500, the Bentley Continental GT is much larger, much heavier, and more comfortable. The Ferrari 812 Superfast is fast from man to man, carries the Ferrari seal of approval, and costs $ 336,962. The Aston Martin Vantage is still a much better daily driver car and much easier to use. That makes it better than the others.

Aston Martin is also paving a way as it approaches driving modes. Many car manufacturers offer an individual mode in which the driver can select his parameters for throttle response, stability control, chassis set-up, steering and sound. The Vantage offers a simpler and more elegant solution. It has two mode controls on the steering wheel with the settings Sport, Sport + and Track. The switch on the left is for the adjustable and adaptable dampers, while the switch on the right handles engine and throttle acceptance.

With the right technology, the highest quality and comfort, beautiful design and exceptional performance, the Vantage is without a doubt the best luxury sports car available today.
