Dan Levy stopped at Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday night where he talked about his sister Sarah Levy’s recent wedding and how his speech was completely overshadowed by his family’s performances.
As he talked about how to give a speech, Levy said, “I thought, okay, well, I hope it will be easy. And I thought it was like that. My speech was in the middle of the night. “Levy continued,” My sister and brother-in-law made their speeches at the beginning of the night and were very dejected. How could it not have been better. And then I thought, well, should I have just led? don’t know if this will be good. “Then Levy revealed how his parents totally overtook him.
“So I made my speech. Went well. It was good. And then my parents came after me and sang a duet, a surprise duet, for my sister. Levy shared hilariously.
Levy arguably had the best year after the final season of his hit sitcom Schitt’s Creek, which made history when it swept the 2020 Emmys and won all seven major comedy awards. The series set a new record for the most Emmy wins in any comedy series in a single season.
A moment they definitely had. Unfortunately for Levy, his moment was completely crushed.
“It was a complete surprise,” said Levy. “And it just brought the house down. My mom, who doesn’t like the spotlight, absolutely did it.”
