Convincing drivers in Scotland to replace diesel and gasoline cars with all-electric vehicles is proving difficult to sell, according to figures suggesting government-supported interest-free loan use has decreased by more than 10 percent.
Ministers have allocated £ 46 million this year to promote electric vehicle (EV) ownership in Scotland with interest-free loans of up to £ 28,000. The offer does not include plug-in hybrids that are operated with a mix of electric drive and conventional fuels.
