More than 200 brides and grooms-to-be enjoyed return of Rochdale wedding show

Brides and grooms-to-be enjoyed the successful return of the Rochdale wedding show.

After two years of being on hold due to the pandemic, the show returned to a new venue, Number One Riverside while Rochdale Town Hall undergoes a major refurbishment.

On Sunday, April 10 more than 200 guests visited the show looking for inspiration for their perfect day.

Lots of the visitors took a tour around the new accommodation inside Rochdale Register Office which includes a 70 seat ceremony room – which holds marriage and civil partnership ceremonies.

Tricia Keogh from Daniel Christian Menswear said it was a successful show: “Weddings are definitely back, we were busy both at the show and in our store over at Rochdale Riverside, getting lots of inquiries, it was a really good day.”

There were 25 companies which exhibited the latest trends in bridal wear, formal menswear and everything else needed for the big day.

Wedding pianist Craig Morgan provided live musical accompaniment and there was also a collection of wedding cars to get you to your venue on time and in style.

Prosecco and canapés from The Lancashire Hospitality Co-operation were served to visitors on arrival.

Mark Widdup, director of neighborhoods at Rochdale Borough Council said: “This year we have welcomed a number of new exhibitors and Number One Riverside proved a great venue.

“Initial feedback from exhibitors has been positive and it was good to see so many local businesses generating new inquiries and taking orders on the day.”
