Former Indian captain MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary earlier this month. The latter recently announced that Dhoni had given her a vintage Beetle on one occasion.
“Thank you for the anniversary present,” said Sakshi in her caption. The couple celebrated their anniversary on July 4th.

The captain, who won the 2011 World Cup, was last seen on the cricket pitch leading the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2021. CSK failed to make it into the playoffs for the first time in IPL history in 2020, but seemed to have turned their luck in 2021.

With five wins in seven games and a net run rate of +1,263, which was by far the best in the competition, they finished second in the league ranking. However, the tournament had to be postponed halfway through the league phase when its bio-bubbles were breached in Ahmedabad and New Delhi amid the deadly second wave of Covid-19 in India.
The restart of the IPL in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is now expected in September-October.
Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in August last year. His last game for India was the 2019 World Cup semi-finals against New Zealand.
