Newly married couple was caught speeding in BMW after their wedding

A newly married couple was caught speeding after their wedding, police said.

Officials posted a picture of a wedding car that they said was traveling at 47 mph yesterday in a 30 mph zone in Radcliffe, Bury.

“Moments after getting married, this newlyweds was measured by #TransportUnit & #SCIU at 47 mph in a 30-mile zone yesterday in Radcliffe,” officials said on GMP Traffic’s Twitter page.

“To Have & To Hold” your driver’s license (sic) is a privilege. Don’t risk losing it.

The current coronavirus rules state that weddings can only take place in exceptional cases with a maximum of six people.

Starting March 29, weddings can be attended by up to six people under all circumstances.

Then the limit will be raised to 15 people from April 12 at the earliest and could increase to 30 people from May 17.

The wedding restrictions could be lifted from June 21, if other coronavirus restrictions are to be lifted.
