Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond prepares to throw her daughter OUTSIDE wedding at 23mph Oklahoma Winds

Ree Drummond and her family prepare to celebrate their eldest daughter Alex’s wedding at their family ranch outside of Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

The Pioneer Woman was thrilled to have a party for friends and family, especially after husband Ladd is on the mend after breaking his neck in a terrible car accident caused by high winds last month.

At the wedding, out on the remote cattle ranch in the middle of Oklahoma’s windiest season, the wind would again be the cookbook queen’s enemy.

‘Uh. We’re having an outdoor wedding. At the ranch. In Oklahoma. At the beginning of May, ”the home expert told his supporters as he demonstrated a tent in the middle of an expansive field. ‘What could possibly go wrong?’

Overcoming the Elements: Pioneer Ree Drummond wondered how the high winds in the plains of Oklahoma would affect her daughter’s outdoor wedding when she shared Instagrams of the facility at the family ranch on Monday

The next shot on her Instagram story showed Ree trying to deal with the situation as she made her way to the wedding venue.

“I drive up to the tent first and try to work out the strength of the sustained Oklahoma winds it can withstand,” she wrote while using a math equation filter on the selfie.

Despite the challenges, the mother of four was absolutely over the moon for her eldest, who married her fiancé Mauricio Scott.

Ree shared a cute shot of Alex flaunting her sparkler and wrote, “The two of them aren’t worried, though.”

“Because they have a peaceful, easy feeling,” she continued, adding, “(And that’s a great way to be.”)

While things were being set up, Drummond waited their time by trying new hairstyles.

She shared a black and white selfie and asked fans, “Half up, half down?” and added, ‘I just play with hairstyles and my Basset Hounds.’

But then it went back to the field, where Ree compared her nerves to a trembling flag bent on top of the tent.

“I am that flag,” she wrote. “A little off. But hold on. ‘

Then she gave her followers a glimpse of the setup last week when the wind was blowing at 15 mph.

The tent looked sturdy, but hadn’t been tested against 23mph gusts like today.

It wasn’t entirely clear if Ree’s husband Ladd was helping with the organization or still loosening things up as he was recovering from a shocking car accident on family property last month.

Ladd, 51, and nephew Caleb, 21, were each driving a Himmat fire engine when they collided head-on after visibility was reduced by winds.

After the accident, which occurred on March 10, both men were taken to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Caleb was admitted in critical condition with head, arm, leg and internal injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

Ree revealed in a March 15 blog post that both Ladd and Caleb were reacting to a fire on the ranch when the accident occurred.

Ladd’s family are well known ranchers in the Osage County area who have owned their land for four generations.

While Ladd initially refused to help, he was taken to the hospital after learning that his neck was broken in two different places, which was almost catastrophic.

“Instead of wishing the accident didn’t happen, I’ll live in a state of gratitude – not just for the boys being okay, but for the love, kindness, and prayers of so many of you,” Ree wrote continue her blog.

“Thank you for reaching out to our family and for keeping us in your hearts for the past few days. I can’t tell you how much it means to all of us and I will never forget it! ‘ She added.
