The police helicopter and armed officers were called in the Fairfield and Howley area of Warrington last night after a man, possibly armed with a gun, reportedly damaged cars in the area.
A police investigation is currently ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
A Cheshire police spokesman said: “Just before 11pm on Tuesday, May 18, the police were called for reports of a man who may have been armed with a gun and cars on Farrell Street, Fairfield and Howley damaged. Warrington.
“Local officials, assisted by the police helicopter and armed officers as a precaution, visited the scene and searched the area thoroughly, but there was no trace of the man.
