Police hunt down Pollok fire bugs after cars were set on fire in an early morning arson attack

Police asked for more information after two cars were set on fire in the early hours of the morning (Monday 15th) in the south of the city.

The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at around 1:15 a.m. on Linnhead Drive in Pollok.

Two vehicles were set on fire by fire bugs.

Police and emergency services were present alongside firefighters and the fire was extinguished.

Helen Street Police Office officers have asked for more information and have asked those who may have it to contact them on 101 using incident number 0126.

No one was injured in the incidents.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Helen Street Police Office officers are asking for information after two vehicles were set on fire on Linnhead Drive in Pollok at around 1:15 a.m. on Monday, February 15, 2021.

“Police and fire brigade participated in a report on a silver Audi A3 car and a silver Citroen Berlingo van on Monday, February 15, 2021 at around 1:15 a.m. The fires have been extinguished and the incidents are now being treated as deliberate.

“No one was injured in the incidents and the police are asking for information that will help their investigation.

“Anyone who has seen anyone or anyone acting suspiciously in the area, or anyone with other information about the fires, should contact the police at the Helen Street Police Office using incident number 0126, dated February 15, 2021 Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be called on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be guaranteed. “
