Royal wedding car: Prince Harry and Meghan’s Jaguar E type concept zero declared

Follow the one strewn with stars Royal wedding Ceremony followed by millions of people around the world and after the reception at lunchtime, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their way to the evening celebrations in style.

The newlyweds drove from Windsor Castle to their destination at the wheel of a Jaguar E-Type – which Enzo Ferrari described as “the most beautiful car in the world”.

However, this version of the iconic vehicle was the reborn Concept Zero model introduced last year.

It’s an emission-free battery-powered version of the 1968 car.

Tim Hannig, Director of Jaguar Land Rover Classic, said at the launch in September 2017: “The E-Type Zero combines the well-known dynamic experience of the E-Type with improved performance through electrification. This unique combination creates a breathtaking driving experience.

“Our goal with E-Type Zero is to make the ownership of classic cars future-proof. We look forward to our customers’ reaction as we investigate how this concept can be brought to market. ”

Not only does it look like the classic E-Type, but it also offers performance that exceeds the specifications of the original car.

The car can go from 0 to 100 km / h in just 5.5 seconds, which is about a second faster than a Series 1 E-Type.

Aside from the state-of-the-art 21st century powertrain and modified instruments and fairings, the spec is completely original – although these are also inspired by the original E-Type.

LED headlights are also used to achieve energy efficiency. Here, too, they adopt the styling theme of the original Series 1 E-Type.

The 40 kWh battery has a range of around 170 miles in the real world on a single charge.

Versions of the car are carefully restored by the Jaguar Land Rover Classic Team.

Prices for the eco-friendly classic car start at £ 350,000.

The royal newlyweds car, painted in a beautiful powder blue color, had a personalized license plate with the date of the wedding on it.

Eagle-eyed viewers also noted that the car was left-hand drive, which many consider to be a nod to Meghan’s American heritage.

Prince Harry drove Meghan to the evening celebrations hosted by the Prince of Wales.

The guests of the Black Tie celebrations ate chic burgers, rum cocktails and cotton candy, among other things, and were pampered with music performers by Elton John, DJ Sam Tootle and actor Idris Elba, who stood behind the decks.
