A SCOTS couple chose the clash of the soccer team as the theme for their wedding cake – complete with Hibernian and Celtic badges on the cake. Iain Sullivan, 41, and Chantelle Sullivan, 25, got married over the weekend (August 7th) and selected their respective soccer teams to design the cake. The unique wedding cake is made up of two layers, both unique in their design, with the first looking more traditional but peppered with the twist of toy soldiers around it.

The bottom layer shows blue and white flowers blooming across the front of the cake to the center, where blue roses sit on white frosting.

Several small toy soldiers can also be seen on the front of the cake, some of whom are also sitting on top of it.

Four pillars support the second layer, which shows the Celtic and Hibernian FC soccer logos with a soccer field above.

A cherry on top of Chantelle and her husband Iain can be seen on the pitch as the bride tries to shoot a penalty kick against her husband, who is on his knees between the goalposts.

The couple from Kincardine, Fife got engaged on May 13, 2019 and have waited nearly two years to tie the knot.

Iain said today, “It was amazing, we had a very small intimate wedding ceremony in Alloa, Clackmannanshire.

“We wanted something different, I support Celtic and my wife supports Hibs.

“We watch the games together and we are competitive in many ways.”

The bride and groom continued: “We had a garden party with a jacuzzi and a disco dome for our reception. The guests were absolutely delighted with the cake as it was completely different.

“Nothing about our wedding was traditional, we wanted things to show us as a couple, so we made things fun and quirky as it is in our personalities.

“There were small army soldiers placed around the cake, there were no wedding cars or anything like that.
