Super rare $ 3 million Koenigsegg caught driving hard in front of the camera

According to Victorian literature, leisure in the British countryside is listening to posh moments such as power couples astride horses, pickle sandwich picnics and multitudes of upper-class people drinking copious amounts of Earl Gray tea. Lately these activities have been getting a little louder, with Supercar Drivers entering rural areas to avoid the frustrations associated with the sneak pace of city traffic. A quaint video released on Sunday documented such a high-octane get-together on a remote British estate with very brief snippets of a two-tone Bugatti, a bright red Ferrari, and a couple of dozen other luxury drives, though it had almost all of its focus on a one-of-a-kind Koenigsegg model .

Only four CCXRs produced

It’s understandable why the video courtesy of the good folks on The TFJJ YouTube channel focuses on a particular Koenigsegg supercar. At the beginning, this, the Koenigsegg CCXR, is only one of four vehicles of its brand ever built. To see what this specimen is worth, Koenigsegg only built two models of the CCXR Trevita, one of which boxer Floyd Merryweather bought for $ 4.8 million. This one in the relatively generic CCXR family apparently costs $ 3 million.

TFJJ raves about the double-supercharged 4.7-liter V8 that delivers a little over 1,000 rpm to the rear wheels. All of that energy results in this CCXR reaching top speeds of around 250 mph. Other cool factors include a manual transmission and carbon fiber body.

E85 fuel option for this Koenigsegg

This is a black beauty with a cute aerodynamic design, complete with recessed side panels and a sturdy rear spoiler. Once revved up, however, this CCXR hardly purrs like a kitten, but rather like a contentious big cat that it brings out onto the street. While this Koenigsegg can hold E85 fuel, it’s hard to tell if this one will work on an ethanol blend.

The roughly eight-minute video captures this CCXR’s most beautiful moments in the landscape, spinning donuts before driving down a dirt road, and effortlessly equipping himself while he disappears from the camera view. On the autobahn and even in the rain, it hugs the sidewalk past delivery vans like road markings.

Drive it like you stole it

With all the hardware under the hood, this Koenigsegg shows no problem when it comes to staying in the pack and performing just as well as other supercars that showed up for this get-together. And, given TFJJ’s suggestion to drive one the way you stole it, those following the YouTuber’s advice might find the countryside an ideal temporary getaway from the authorities.
