One bride on a budget showed how she cut costs on her big day by buying decorations from Amazon and even doing DIY floristry.
Sophie Belle Brown, who shares life tips on her YouTube channel, revealed how she and her husband Dave had their dream wedding for less than £ 7,000 thanks to a few simple swap deals.

In the video, she said, “For me and Dave, what made us happy when we went to Disney World on our honeymoon.
“We wanted a really nice day and we didn’t want it to be cheap and nasty.”
The couple had 50 guests in total who were no more wise about the discount ceremony.
Here we reveal Sophie’s top tips …

Conference location
The couple ditched mansions and hotels and instead chose to say what I did in a town hall in Altrincham, Cheshire.
She explains: “The total cost of getting married at Altrincham Town Hall was £ 400, covering the venue and all legal costs.”
When it came to reception, the couple rented a local pub in Knutsford for £ 500, including chair, bar and tableware rentals.

Sophie says, “People kept telling me to rent an empty village house, but I knew it would cost so much money and this place included all of that.”
They gave out £ 1,250 on guests’ food and drinks, bringing their total cost to the venue to £ 2,150.
Decorations
Instead of turning to professional wedding planners to help decorate them, Sophie decorated the venues herself.
She filled Ikea vases with hydrangeas and popped simple vintage-style pillar candles and napkins that she picked up on every table at Amazon.

She adds, “Another thing we did to keep costs down was to only have one menu per table. I thought it was nice, it got people chatting.
“We only needed four instead of 50 menus.”
clothes
Sophie was lucky enough to receive her dream dress in bohemian style as a sample prize after discovering some barely noticeable damage to the hem.
And instead of slipping into a pair of bespoke wedding shoes, Sophie wore a pair of glitzy flats for £ 2 from Primark and traded a tiara for an ASOS headband.
Each of her bridesmaids also wore a high street dress from ASOS, Dorothy Perkins, and Monsoon.

Flowers
With a total of six bouquets and flowers for the table, Sophie could have looked at an extortionate floristry bill.
Instead, she decided to create her own flower arrangements, take a trip to a wholesaler, and hurry up her mother and sisters to arrange the flowers the night before the wedding.
And it paid off when the couple spent less than £ 300 on their flowers.
Things they didn’t do
While Sophie found a way to afford just about anything for her dream wedding, there were a few things she passed on to stay on budget.
They included; a hairdresser, wedding cars, appetizers and a DJ or live band.
