<p>There are still some unanswered questions.</p>

That story started last week with an interesting tweet that included the current listing for the one-owner S-1. Listed on Facebook in Canada for $ 100,000, the details of the shark are provided but not alive. The internet rabbit hole went your author.</p>
<p>In theory, the S-1 is based on a McLaren F-1 and a Ferrari F-50. In truth, it probably isn’t. It is powered by a large 8.2L Chevrolet 502 block that was used in automotive and marine applications and is still sold by Chevrolet. The modern format engine offers 461 horses so the S-1 has other magical incidents to boost power to the stated 550. The transmission is an automatic transmission and is called Turbo 400. Maybe it’s the heavy TH400 that was used in Rolls earlier. Royce and AM General Applications. With all available power, the stated time is up to sixty four seconds. Fast stuff and the huge Hoosier tires at the rear promise a lot of traction. The seller states that the suspension is fully adjustable and independent and that there is power steering and ABS. I suspect Corvette parts here and there.</p>
<p>The body of the S-1 looks well processed and does not suffer from the expected prototype / kit car look. According to the listing, it is a composite of acrylic and ground porcelain. The inside of the shark is covered in imitation suede and has a special instrument cluster from the 1980s that wouldn’t look out of place on an old stove.</p>
<p>And that’s about all we know folks. While searching, there are some photos of the S-1 here and there, as well as conflicting information about the year of manufacture. It’s definitely always lived in Canada. Identifiable parts include taillights from an Escort GT from the eighties, and the entire car has a kind of Lamborghini Vector vibe. The photos listed are images of pictures, which is an interesting choice at $ 100,000 for a one-of-a-kind car. At some point, air vents appear to have been added to the S-1, probably because the door shape meant solid side windows.</p>
