They also said, “It literally meant everything to us to have everyone there, albeit in a slightly different way than what we imagined. It is a day we will never forget.”
Her wedding planner Saheli Mirpuri was initially surprised when the couple mentioned the drive-in idea as a joke. “As Asian wedding planners, we’re used to big numbers, so it was extremely difficult. But you have to get creative and think outside the box,” she told the BBC.
This really out-of-the-box idea got other couples to try a drive-in wedding too. Mirpuri thinks it could just be the “new trend”.
