Steve is in his wife’s bad books after telling her daughter Amy (Elle Mulvaney) that he has promised to fund his other daughter Emma’s upcoming wedding.
Street Cars co-owner Emma (Alexandra Mardell) shares with his ex Fiona Middleton, who currently lives in Australia.
Emma recently got engaged to Curtis Delamere (Sam Retford) and is busy organizing the big event.
And her father promised that he would fund her special day.
But in scenes that will air later next week, Amy throws a spanner in the works when she explains to her mother and father that she would like to go to university to study economics.
During a conversation about her finances, Steve admits to Tracy that he has already promised Emma a large lump sum.

Steve later tells Emma to curb her plans a bit so that Amy has a fair chance to continue her education.
However, Amy overhears them talk about it and decides it is going to cause too much trouble, saying that she would rather stay on site to save money.
Will Emma cut her wedding plans so Amy can go to college?
Earlier this week we revealed that Curtis was lying to gain access to Oliver’s fund.
The medical student plans to raise money for the late son of Steve and Leanne Battersby, who died last year of a life-limiting form of mitochondrial disease.
Curtis reveals that he wants to take part in the Three Peaks Challenge, but Emma is worried about his health as he has a heart condition.
He sets off for a challenge, but it quickly becomes clear that he never planned to take part …
